Those Five Minutes….

Ahh! I am back to my writing mode after almost a month. During this time, I completely realized that something really critical within me is missing but that one week trip with family had killed my whole month.

Before the trip actually started, I was terribly busy with preparations & last minute packing and post trip, days went in unpacking and getting back to the old routine. In just one week, my junior got so accustomed to the new leisurely routine and 24*7 available mom, it made him much more demanding. Now Mr. Junior just can't spend even a single minute without me and it in turn made nearly impossible for me to take out time for myself. That’s okay as that’s what parents are mean for :-))

While this was a FULTUU MASTI trip but it also made us learn a very important lesson through an horrifying incident.

One day, we were out for shopping in Tesco Lotus, a renowned supermarket chain in Thailand. While we were looking for clothes, we were encountered with 2-3 decent looking pair of men & women, who were no one but frauds. They would tell their fake stories and try to make a fool of you. Since my husband was aware of them, so he ignored them after a short conversation. Then a couple approached us and initiated the conversation. We looked at both the kids, they were playing with the stuff on display. We talked to them for just 1 minute and then when we looked for kids, senior was with us but junior, who is just 15 months old, was missing. We searched, we ran, we shouted, we called his name, we asked everyone, but we couldn’t find him. It was like we were drowning in a deep sea, struggling for a ray of hope but all in vain. We were having the doubt on that couple who just went invisible like some ghost.

Thanks a ton to God, after about 3-4 mins., we found him at a greeting cards section making a mess out of cards.

Our tears busted out and we all hugged him so tightly for next few minutes. While we three were smiling and crying at the same time, he was looking at us in total surprise.

That was the moment which will remain in my heart and mind like a spooky story for long. For the next few nights, I slept holding him tight.

This incident taught us a very important lesson - never, ever let your kids unattended especially in public places like malls, stations etc. no matter who is trying to grab your attention.

P.S. Have you ever met such frauds? Have you ever faced any such tough time? Do share it with us. Also, feel free to share your feedback.
